Jumper

Wow! I am horrendous about doing timely blogs. I guess you will all have to deal. So since my last blog and the fiasco with Ole Suze, I have since had the pleasure of dealing with "No Signatures" Cuba Gooding, Jr. and just this past week we found out that we will be helping with the one day shoot for an additional scene for "Jumper." By far the biggest project I've worked on, even if I am only apart of one day of shooting. Let's take a look why don't we?

Could be fun!

LSU Nights

So to combat the banality that, oddly enough, is the movie industry, I had planned to go to my first tailgating experience. Since I am in the town of the LSU Tiger and all of their purple and gold glory I had to dress in purple and gold. Lucky for me

my high school colors were purple and gold as well. Time to pull out that old cheerleading jacket! The rest was obtained for less than $15 at Albertson's.

Unfortunately, it just wasn't meant to be and things didn't come together for me to partake in the glory that is LSU Football. This is how sad I was.....

But I didn't let that get me down. We decided to go out anyway. Those tigers didn't even take a second look at my crazy outfit.

My tiger tail had it rough that night.

The Belittling Susan

So it was my job to give Ole Suze Sarandon some money today. She was dismissive and belittling. I can't blame her. Wouldn't you be too if you looked this haggard?

Even when she was young, why does she always look so old to me?

What am I doing in this silly showbiz life? I do wonder that sometimes.

Finally, I get to the Riddu Riddu Festival of 2007. This festival is an indigenous music festival with performers coming from all over the work.

Camilla and I were hired to do a children's show and an aerial piece for the Riddu Rock Sirkus.

Here are pics of Camilla practicing for the aerial show.

Our first performance was the children's show. Our show is completely silly with it being a hip-hop show to start with and ends with us stripping down to brightly colored lycra costumes while dancing to the theme song from "Fame"

And these are pics from the Rock Sirkus where we did our aerials piece.

In case the pictures didn't get you excited enough, here's a video.

Birthday Exstravaganza!!

Camilla's B-Day is the 4th of July and mine is the 5th (Yes I know I'm behind). So for Camilla's birthday we went to the local restaurant and had a great meal.

I ate the Cod Tongue!

On the next day for my birthday, Camilla and her sisters drove me to Tromsø for a little sight-seeing.

There is a large mountain overlooking the city with a gondola that takes you to the top.

This is the view from the top.

I was even able to play in the snow!

This Elena, Camilla's niece, playing.

And here is me in a little "Sound of Music" moment.

On the way home, since Stine had a beer, I was privileged enough to drive.

Look at the terror in their faces!!

It was a great birthday. Thank you Karlsen clan for a birthday I'll never forget.

In the North

After Bodø, we took a flight into Tromsø. In Tromsø, we were greeted by Camilla's sister Stine and her boyfriend, Martin. After we made it to their car Camilla realized she didn't have her wallet with her. We back to the airport and asked lost and found and had them search the plane. It was nowhere to be found.

By now I should know Camilla well enough to know how silly she is. Where was the wallet. Oh it was at the side of her seat in the car held neatly by the strap of Camilla's backpack.

Once were finally on our way to Camilla's parents house in Oteren. Stine had drinks waiting for us. Being from the States, I was worried as they were busting open beer cans in a moving vehicle. Apparently it's ok to drink in a car as long as you're not driving. BOTTOMS UP!!!

On the way, we pass by the Mountain of the Sleeping Soldier. Can you see him?

There were also tons of waterfalls from melting snow.

While in Oteren, I stayed in Hegge's (Another sister of Camilla's). This house was built by their grandfather and looking up the hill you can see the barn and the house that Camilla's parents live in now.

Inside the barn, there was a brand new family of squirrels!

Camilla's family was so generous to house me and feed me for the time I was there. I couldn't have asked for a better accommodation. This is what their house looked out to.

Wow, I'm Behind!

Ok I know it's a theme but I always seem to catch up eventually.

So from where I left off, Camilla and I took an overnight Cruise from Copenhagen to Oslo.

Once on board we quickly got our priorities in order and to the top of the boat to set sail. To commemorate the experience we bought drinks as blue as the sea!

I spilled some and couldn't bare to have it go to waste. What can I say? I'm resourceful.

After returning to Oslo, we went by train to Nordic Nowhere to visit Camilla's sister, Berit, and to also get some training done for our performances later.

Our first evening in town was commemorated by being a proud supporter of Jonas, Berit's oldest child.

Alva, Berit's little girl, had more fun playing in the rain than watching the game.

Once in Koppang, Berit opened up the school gym that she teaches at to let us start training. While training there we also did a short class for a few of the students.

Here is Jonas and Camilla.

We finally coaxed Berit into giving it a try.

Berit lives on a farm in Norway and was so generous to me. She let Camilla and I stay in a little house that used to be used as a food storage way back when.

And these are views from my window.

It is common for older houses in Norway to have grass on top. They were built this way as added insulation from the very cold winters.

This is me saying bye to Berit as we leave Koppand and head back to Oslo.

While in Oslo, we stayed with Camilla's great friends Marchus and Aliss. Here they are in an intimate husband and wife moment.

We took a train to Trondheim. Saw the city....

and it's gorgeous Gothic cathedral.

From there we took an overnight train to Bodo. Since Bodo is above the Arctic Circle we were able to see the sun set several times throughout the train ride. After we finally reached the Arctic Circle it would be daylight for Will until I would fly to London on July 16th, fourteen days later.
