In the North

After Bodø, we took a flight into Tromsø. In Tromsø, we were greeted by Camilla's sister Stine and her boyfriend, Martin. After we made it to their car Camilla realized she didn't have her wallet with her. We back to the airport and asked lost and found and had them search the plane. It was nowhere to be found.

By now I should know Camilla well enough to know how silly she is. Where was the wallet. Oh it was at the side of her seat in the car held neatly by the strap of Camilla's backpack.

Once were finally on our way to Camilla's parents house in Oteren. Stine had drinks waiting for us. Being from the States, I was worried as they were busting open beer cans in a moving vehicle. Apparently it's ok to drink in a car as long as you're not driving. BOTTOMS UP!!!

On the way, we pass by the Mountain of the Sleeping Soldier. Can you see him?

There were also tons of waterfalls from melting snow.

While in Oteren, I stayed in Hegge's (Another sister of Camilla's). This house was built by their grandfather and looking up the hill you can see the barn and the house that Camilla's parents live in now.

Inside the barn, there was a brand new family of squirrels!

Camilla's family was so generous to house me and feed me for the time I was there. I couldn't have asked for a better accommodation. This is what their house looked out to.

Wow, I'm Behind!

Ok I know it's a theme but I always seem to catch up eventually.

So from where I left off, Camilla and I took an overnight Cruise from Copenhagen to Oslo.

Once on board we quickly got our priorities in order and to the top of the boat to set sail. To commemorate the experience we bought drinks as blue as the sea!

I spilled some and couldn't bare to have it go to waste. What can I say? I'm resourceful.

After returning to Oslo, we went by train to Nordic Nowhere to visit Camilla's sister, Berit, and to also get some training done for our performances later.

Our first evening in town was commemorated by being a proud supporter of Jonas, Berit's oldest child.

Alva, Berit's little girl, had more fun playing in the rain than watching the game.

Once in Koppang, Berit opened up the school gym that she teaches at to let us start training. While training there we also did a short class for a few of the students.

Here is Jonas and Camilla.

We finally coaxed Berit into giving it a try.

Berit lives on a farm in Norway and was so generous to me. She let Camilla and I stay in a little house that used to be used as a food storage way back when.

And these are views from my window.

It is common for older houses in Norway to have grass on top. They were built this way as added insulation from the very cold winters.

This is me saying bye to Berit as we leave Koppand and head back to Oslo.

While in Oslo, we stayed with Camilla's great friends Marchus and Aliss. Here they are in an intimate husband and wife moment.

We took a train to Trondheim. Saw the city....

and it's gorgeous Gothic cathedral.

From there we took an overnight train to Bodo. Since Bodo is above the Arctic Circle we were able to see the sun set several times throughout the train ride. After we finally reached the Arctic Circle it would be daylight for Will until I would fly to London on July 16th, fourteen days later.
