ALTiNZ: Episode V: The Wunderbar

For Chris's last night in CHCH we ventured to Lyttleton, just outside of CHCH, to go to the infamous Wunderbar. The pictures will tell you of the bar's infamy.

This is downtown Lyttleton.

A random discarded hot dog. You wouldn't believe the hilarity that ensued because of this hot dog and my picture wasn't the only one taken.

The sign says it all.

My mom, the hairstylist, would be so proud.

Baby doll heads, what a great choice.

Yeah, licking it seems like a natural thing to do.

So this is Chris, John, ?, and Me. A homebaked cookie for anyone who can tell me who that blonde guy is.

Really I can say enough about the benefits of baby doll heads in one's decor.

Camilla is really feeling this art piece.

Camilla, Shame on YOU!!

This was up in the bathroom. Just a little more of that infamy.

Camilla, Idris, and Bones on their way out.

Chris and Kristina. Chris, these are my friends. Please don't scare them.

And that ends Chris's trip. Thanks so much Chris for coming to visit. It really meant quite a lot to me.

ALTiNZ: Episode IV The Road Home

Good Morning!!!

So very comforting

Don't we look ready to take on New Zealand.

Look closely.

They're seals!!!

Chris, let's just try and look excited.

Remember the one-way bridges? Well, this is Chris freaking out about the One-Way Bridge from Hell!

Yes, that is a mirror to see around the corner!

Lunch Time!

On the way back we stopped off at New Zealand's longest suspension bridge.

Chris shaking in his boots!

Seriously, I had to squeeze over the edge to get by this papoose laiden couple.

Yes, Chris found those on the side of the road.

And 821Kms later we're back in Christchurch.

ALTiNZ: Episode III The Road Trip

So we decided to rent a car and drive to the west coast of New Zealand. This is Chris wondering if signing his life over for an out-of-date Mazda was a good idea.

This is Chris's little note that he wrote to Warren, the gentleman who rented the car to us.

This is a genuine look of fear on Chris's face.

A not-so-genuine look of fear on Chris's face.

Westward Ho!!!

This is me scared of Chris's driving.

This is me scared of gas prices. $35 bucks for HALF of a tank!

The quintessential New Zealand sheep.

The quintessential New Zealand ONE-LANE bridge. Oh yes, they do have one lane bridges in New Zealand. In fact, I would say that most of the bridges here are one-lane. Doesn't it make you feel so safe?

I am crying so hard from laughing Chris and his "No Guard Rail" Phobia.

New Zealand might be a small country but the terrain changes so quickly. It's flat in the east and as you go west it starts to roll as seen here.

Then you come across this!

and then there's rainforest. Random prettiness, absolutely nuts!

"Hey Chris, are you ready for the beach?"

Oh yeah!!

Chris's first dip in the Pacific Ocean.

After the beach, we headed to Greymouth to fill our bellies with some lunch.

KFC as it was chosen by God.

Back on the Road again and what a road it is.

Look Out, Watch Out

OUCH!!

We felt as if we were in Jurassic Park.

And there's the Raptor!

Just Gorgeous

Why do I always act the fool?

Ooh La La

Chris running to Punakaiki or "The Pancake Rocks"

Big Bucket Head

I just had to put this pic in because I have the most awkward, ridiculous look on my face.

Indiana Jones

Chris, what are you doing?

Good to know the closet has seating space.

No Joke! I seriously was sitting this close to the TV with the remote in hand and didn't find it odd at all.

Mr. Peepers!!

and Good Night!!!
